September is National Food Safety Education Month, a time dedicated to raising awareness about safe practices that prevent foodborne illness. One area of concern that impacts those in the food industry workforce is labor laws.

What happens when two professors from completely different fields join forces to discuss the overlap of their area of expertise? In this ‘tag-team’ video lecture, food safety expert and Northeastern University professor Dr. Darin Detwiler is joined by Professor Joe Rose, JD., from the Lincoln Law School of Sacramento (CA).  We discuss food safety as it overlaps with  Child Labor Laws, Earned Sick Leave, Family Medical Leave, Whistleblowers, Legal and Economic implications and consequences. Side note – we went to high school together!
